Best Thanksgiving ever! (Sorry mom) When Carolyn and Dan asked me to photograph their wedding in Mexico over the Thanksgiving holidays I was super excited. I’ve always wanted to photograph a destination wedding and had never been to Mexico before. It was an amazing experience and I’ve been having difficulty putting it into words (been going through a bunch of drafts). I think the photos speak for themselves.

Just a little background though. Carolyn and Dan live in NYC and they both have foreign roots, (he’s Ecuadorian and she is Korean) which I think is the reason they wanted to have a destination wedding. They found me through a wedding blog but after I posted their engagement photo it turned out that they are friends of friends. Small world! I was down in Mexico for about 6 days and was photographing 3 of those days (portrait session in the beautiful town of Campeche, rehearsal dinner, and brunch), the other days I was exploring the town and eating lots of food. Oh man, the food was amazing.

The beautiful place they got married at is called Hacienda Yuamon and is about 30 minutes from Campeche. Great town! My second shooter and fellow Hallmark Institute of Photography alum was Manuel Vazquez. A big thanks again for making the trip and for all your help!
